Sedgefield Water Polo Club is the leading club for swimming and Water Polo in the North East. It produces many high quality players who go on to play Nationally and Internationally. We ensure professionalism and encourage players to realise their full potential. The club was founded in 1997 by George Carpenter ex England international. From the year 2000 Sedgefield have been one of the strongest clubs in the country, a marvellous achievement considering the small population of Durham compared to big clubs such as Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool and London Invicta. Sedgefield is relatively small and has members from 6-17 years. |

Moving on from a fantastic year in 2010, Sedgefield water polo have been equally as successful in 2011. As a group, we have produced some great results. Most recently our 97 and 99 age groups both won the Manchester Festival which is a national event. More |
Our Newton Aycliffe base is also home to the Regional Training Centre for the North East. It is an integral part of the National Performance program for Water Polo. More |
