U14's win at Grantham
Sedgefield Water Polo Club’s U14 team travelled to Grantham on Sunday 30th October for their Wakefield & District league match, hoping for a win and aspiring to maintain their record of being undefeated in the league this season.
The match got off for a close start, with the score being 3-3 at the end of the first quarter, however the strength and determination of the team meant that they were winning 4-10 by half time in a very physical and fast paced game.
Their exceptional teamwork and communication skills helped the team to a fantastic 4-19 win by the end of the third quarter.
The game ended with an fantastic 8-23 win and meant the team remains undefeated with just a month of the season remaining.
The age range of this team is just 11-14 years which shows the result is testament to the hard work which the team put into their training sessions.
